Our Story
Bright Minds Children Academy is more than a childcare center — it’s our family’s passion and commitment to early childhood education.
I’m Jenay, the Owner, Director, and a Parent here at Bright Minds. I’m a second-generation child care professional, following in the footsteps of my mother, Laura Ortiz, who dedicated her life to nurturing young learners. I grew up in the halls of my parents’ thriving daycare, learning firsthand that quality care is built on love, safety, and purposeful learning.
Now, as both a director and a mother whose own children attend Bright Minds, I see our classrooms through the same lens as the families we serve. Every decision I make is guided by the question: “Would this be good enough for my own child?”

At Bright Minds Children Academy, we believe that early childhood is the most important foundation for lifelong learning, growth, and success. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that each child is unique, capable, and full of potential. We are here to nurture that potential by providing a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.
We embrace a play-based, developmentally appropriate approach that encourages exploration, curiosity, and creativity. Through hands-on learning experiences and strong teacher-child relationships, we support children in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for learning.

Health & Safety
At Bright Minds Children Academy, your child’s health and safety are our highest priority. We maintain rigorous standards to ensure a clean, secure, and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow with confidence.
Our center follows all local and state licensing requirements, including the guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC). We adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene practices, including daily cleaning protocols, frequent handwashing, and regular disinfection of toys, learning materials, and high-touch surfaces.
Safety Measures Include:
